I have taught ESL to kids both in the United States and abroad (Peru), the latter of which required TEFL certification. I have taught children with autism (ages 3-5). I have traveled extensively, including many trips to Italy, where I studied for six months in Milan in 2005. I have also been to South Africa, Ireland, Hungary and many other places. Before I moved to Boston, I was a reporter for a year in North Carolina. Most recently I was a tutor at the Emerson College Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) as part of my graduate assistantship. I want to be a tutor because enjoy working with kids of all ages, I love writing and language, and I am still finishing graduate school and need the flexible hours.
