Experience
I graduated from Stanford's Graduate School of Education in 2012 and have an extensive background in tutoring and working with children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy tutoring because it is extremely rewarding to see students make progress and unleash their potential. I did my undergraduate work at Vassar College and graduated with honors in 2010. While at Vassar, I worked as a Writing Consultant and worked with Vassar students on academic and professional writing at every stage of the process. From 2010 - 2011, I worked full time as a tutor for students from age 5-college and provided one-on-one support in all subjects. Since 2013, in addition to K-12 Tutoring, I have been working with college students and adult learners as well. My specialties include Personal Statements, Academic Essays, Application Essays, Business Writing, Proofreading, Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, History, Government, and Algebra I. I also have significant experience tutoring students with special needs including: ADD/ADHD, Processing difficulties, Autism, and Dyslexia. Finally, I have worked at Kumon Learning Centers particularly with students that were behind for their grade level. Here, I tutored in Math, Reading, Vocabulary, Writing and Study Skills. I am extremely passionate about tutoring and take the success of each of my students very seriously. You can count on me to provide the tailored support each learner needs!
