Speciality #1: I have both BA and MA degrees in History, and I'm currently a PhD candidate in History at Clark University in Worcester. I'm available to tutor in Somerville, Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, and the surrounding areas. I can help with a wide range of subjects relevant to World and European History, from social studies middle school curricula through university. Speciality #2: I am a native Hebrew speaker. I have taught Hebrew language and grammar in a classroom setting to students of various ages and fluency levels. I have also tutored Hebrew one-on-one, and have experience preparing boys and girls for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. (I am a practiced Ba'al Koreh: I have experience teaching trope and how to read/sing the Torah.) Speciality #3: I am also a writer and have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and varying degrees of proficiency in English. My writing has been featured in the Jewish Week (largest circulation of any North American Jewish newspaper) and The Jerusalem Post. I am prepared to help students with any type of writing, from papers for class to college admissions essays, personal statements, and fellowship applications.
