Experience
Although my degrees are in chemistry, I have a strong biology and biochemistry background also. I have tutored Organic Chemistry weekly for the CORE tutors at the University of Chicago. I have previously been a private science tutor for students at several universities and high schools. I have enjoyed teaching organic chemistry at the University of Chicago as the lab director of the organic chemistry labs. I also have been a teaching assistant for Honors and General Organic Chemistry (both lab and lecture) courses, Organic Synthesis lab, and Analytical Chemistry lab. I also help develop the educational content for online biology and chemistry resources for several educational companies and a textbook publishing company and edit for scientific journals. I have received awards for Teaching in Organic Chemistry (2008) and Excellence in Research, Teaching, and Departmental Citizenship (2009).
