I am a fun and energetic educator who believes that both learning and teaching are the very basis for who I am as a person. When I am teaching, I hope to pass along a passion for education to all of my students, and feel that teaching others will always be part of my life. I like to tutor both on an individual basis and in group sessions. As an educator, I try to empower my students and give them the tools to be the best that they can be. My favorite topics to teach include reading comprehension, English as a second language, essay writing, and analytical writing, among others.I am a summa cum laude graduate of Brandeis University with majors in Anthropology and African & Afro-American Studies. During that same time I studied politics, theater, public speaking, and English literature. For the past year I taught English in Thailand at a high school as part of a Fulbright Scholarship, and I have tutored and taught in both Ghana and Kenya. I hope to someday get my Ph.D. in Education.When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy telling others about my time living in other parts of the world, writing, and playing badminton.
