I love making learning fun. All too often, worthwhile subjects are perceived as boring because they are taught in a lackluster style; plain memorization, for example. I have known I was meant to be a teacher since childhood and I am thrilled to offer my tutoring skills to you. My work with children has ranged from professional and informal experiences of tutoring, babysitting, and formal teaching beginning at age 12. My formal studies include a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Language along with my master's degree in Elementary Education. In the future, I plan to obtain an Ed.D.. in Second Language Acquisition. I have worked with students in grades ranging from preschool to 4th grade. Specifically I teach phonics, elementary age reading, mathematics, and comprehension skills. I love creating lively games for kids to learn through! The varied personalities and needs of individual students are important and of course each one deserves an equally unique learning plan. I believe specialized learning leads to success; learning must be interactive and engaging for all.
