I received a bachelor's degree in Classics from Augustana College in Illinois. I dove into ancient Rome and Greek history for my college degree. From there, I spent 3 years teaching English in China. I absolutely loved this! I then traveled back to America. I am excited to continue my education and receive my master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. I am a highly qualified tutor because of my teaching experience and vast academic background. In addition to teaching English to graduate school to pre-school individuals in the Far East, I have tutored Latin and Greek. I am currently studying many different classes of STEM for my degree in engineering. I am a proficient tutor in Mandarin Chinese, ESL, and a vast array of math subjects (beginning math all the way through Differential Equations and Calculus 3). I am really passionate about helping individuals to learn languages. My tutoring style involves helping the individual to understand the essentials to solve the problem, making sure they understand the concept behind the problem, and producing a strategy to retain and practice what they have learned. When guided by the right methods of teaching, I believe any individual is able to navigate successfully through any subject matter if they put the effort into it. For as long as I can remember, languages have been a true passion of mine. In my spare time, I like to study all I can about languages, biking, reading, chess playing, and dabbling with electronics.
