I've been tutoring for the past twelve years, and I worked full-time as a teacher for three of those. My main areas of focus are coaching writing at all levels, individual and small-group test prep for the ACT, SAT and selected AP tests, and individual and small-group tutoring for History courses and ESL (all levels). I am also fluent in Russian. I stuck with tutoring because it lets me become deeply familiar with the needs and learning style of individual students, become invested in their success and drastically increase their chances of succeeding.
